A mom, three boys, and a lot of bees
Bee' N Love didn't start as a business. It started at home, with a mom trying to help her kids breathe a little easier.
It started with allergies
All three of Toni's sons have bad allergies. Pollen season in Texarkana meant red eyes, stuffy noses and a lot of rough nights.
Toni had always loved honey, in her coffee, in her tea, and as a staple at home. She'd heard plenty of families swear by a spoonful of local honey, made by bees visiting the very plants that set the allergies off. For her boys she wanted it as local as it gets, and she wanted to know exactly where it came from.
So instead of buying it, she started keeping bees. A few hives turned into a few more, the honey turned into lip balm and creams, and Bee' N Love was born.

Honey from bees working the same trees and grasses her boys were sneezing at. That was the whole idea.
Why Bee' N Love existsFrom a spoonful to Bee' N Love
Honey for the boys
Local honey for three allergy-prone sons. The reason it all began.
The first hives
Toni set up her own hives so she'd know exactly where every drop came from.
A family project
The boys suit up and pitch in at the hives. Gloves, veil and all.
Beyond the jar
Beeswax became lip balm and creams, joined by a lotion made with real goat's milk.

Nurse by day, beekeeper the rest of the time
Toni Pounds works full time as a nurse practitioner. Bee' N Love is the passion she fits around that job and her family, which is why every batch is small and made with care.
The Texarkana Gazette featured her in its "Know Your Neighbor" series: "Toni Pounds loves bees and made it a business."
